Thank you for writing about a video game! They’re my other passion, but I’ve always been hesitant to share that, unless I’m around other gamers. I grew up being mostly shamed for liking video games, but am recently learning to embrace it as a worthy part of my persona--and have been toying with the idea of writing about them myself! 😃
Hades has been on my radar for awhile, and I saw it on sale on PSN too. This post made it a must buy!
Oh my Dan! I just got into the gaming scene circa 2019 and then even more so with the pandemic, but I feel you, I’ve always been into anime but it hasn’t always been received with the level of acceptance it has today… I love playing games with my friends now and learning about titles that have compelling storylines or innovative game mechanics because it’s like another way to tell a story, one we can be more involved in!
If you have any game recommendations, please do not hesitate to share them! Hades was a must have for me and I hope you enjoy it as well! I would love to read more game reviews from you and with your editing abilities you could even make gameplay snippets or product reviews on it and I will DEVOUR those! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I’ve been seeing so much for God of War in terms of storytelling and how good it is! The cinematics are awesome from what I’ve seen!
I play on my PC always 😂 so computer games mostly and some switch games (I’m a sucker for Pokémon, but I still need to get the new ones!). The Last of Us is coming to Steam next year so I’m excited for that and Disco Elysium had a massive sale so I’m gonna try out that one in the coming weeks!
There's a game my partner and I just finished called "Chicory: A Colorful Tale." It's super cute and well-written. All the characters are animated animals, but they're really relatable and charming with struggles that are very familiar to any human lol. You play as a dog that's granted a magical brush that can paint the world, and you use it to solve puzzles/unlock new abilities. It's really great—plus it's available on Steam and the Switch! Also, it has an incredible soundtrack!
I'm not a gamer but I'm intrigued. I told my oldest I'd check out some of the games he's into -so I now have a Steam account and will (at some point) be playing Undertale, Omori and a few other ones - guess I'll add Hades to the list. Thanks!
Undertale is amaaaaazing! I’m really bad at video games so I’ve never finished it but I’ve watched people finish it on stream and whatnot so I know it’s worthwhile haha ooh has your oldest played Hollow Knight? Or Stardew Valley?
Inscryption is also good! If he doesn’t mind adding you to his steam account, you can do a family share thing so you don’t have to buy the games a second time! The downside is that whenever you’re playing the game, he won’t be able to, but you can always let him know when you’re gonna play or ask him to join and help you out when you’re playing :)

What platform do you typically play on?
I'm currently deep into God of War Ragnarok on PS5 right now lol. It's incredible.

Awesome, great choices!
Besides God of War, any other game strike your fancy?

I will ask him - he wants me to start with Inscryption 🤷🏽♀️

Okay I promise I'll report back once we get started, wish me luck - I mean my all time fave video game is still Ms Pac Man lol 👾
Okay but Ms Pac-Man is a classic! And please do! I’d love to hear your thoughts on these games and how you like them!
