Woah woah woah there cowboy! Please do! It’s an absolute joy of a movie and there’s so much depth to the characters even though it’s roughly 90 minutes long!

I like your captions. An etomoligical dive into Quasimodo's name maybe interesting.

I would absolutely love to do that. I also very much want to read the novel that inspired it because I’ve listened to how the director and producer came to pitching this concept, but Disney has a habit of sanitizing stories and I can only imagine what horrors the novel has hidden away!

I have also not read the novel, which is odd given I studied gothic literature. I wonder if there is a Phantom of the Opera connection.

I studied comparative literature if that says anything about us LOL the Phantom and Quasi share some sort of physical disfigurement, but Disney's Quasimodo definitely takes the high ground. From what I've skimmed, Book Quasi might be just as unhinged as our theatre boy...but that's trauma for another day~

I think books are neat :D And when I realized these analyses can be applied to film and TV? I've never had a peaceful time watching anything ever again hahaha
